SOLIDERE shares continued their slide in the Beirut stock exchange as the world financial crisis dampened local investor's appetite for investment, with both shares closing the week lower on higher volume. Prices of both types of shares fluctuated between a low of $20.60 and a high of $25.50. Turnover increased compared to the previous week, with a total of 878,643 shares changing hands for a gross market value of around $ 20,043,640. This represents an average price of around $22.81, 10.44% lower than the previous week.
