A 74,000 sq m (800,000 sq ft) waterside park will provide a metropolitan-scale attraction and house recreational activities, public performance spaces, an open-air amphitheater, a main entrance pavilion, retail kiosks, a prepared strip along its northwestern edge designed to accommodate the Formula One pits, and other temporary Formula One facilities during Grand Prix events. This green area will be designed and landscaped as a high quality public space providing the largest public park in the capital. It will also be connected directly to the corniche promenade.
